A new group of police recruits will soon begin their journey with the Namibian Police Force as preparations for the 2025/2026 intake are now underway.

Candidates who made it through the first stage are currently being contacted and asked to get ready for interviews. This process is part of NamPol’s ongoing efforts to train and employ more officers across the country.

NamPol spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, confirmed the development and shared that the current group of trainees, who started in the 2024/2025 cycle, will complete their programme and graduate on 23 May 2025.

The upcoming training will start in July and will last for nine months. Recruits will first go through six months of basic police training. After that, they will do three months of hands-on fieldwork, where they will gain real-world experience working with trained officers.

Deputy Commissioner Shikwambi also mentioned that the police training programme is not just about learning skills it also focuses on building discipline, professionalism, and strong values needed to serve the people of Namibia.
