Namibia’s Selma Kamanya Wins Top Model Africa at Miss World 2025 – The Updated World

Selma Kamanya from Namibia has proudly won the Top Model Africa title at the 72nd Miss World pageant, currently taking place in Hyderabad, India. This win puts her among the top participants in this international beauty competition, which will end on May 31, 2025.

Kamanya competed against other strong contestants from Africa, including Michelle Wachira from Kenya, Noella Aiyepeku from Nigeria, and Thando Mfundisi from South Africa. Her elegant runway walk and strong presence helped her stand out and win the African Top Model award.

Kamanya is not new to the spotlight. She was Miss Namibia 2018 and was chosen by Miss NGO Namibia to represent the country in Miss World 2025. She was selected because of her important work in promoting mental health and sustainable farming, as well as her strong education background in economics.

Apart from her modelling success, Kamanya is also gaining attention for her “Beauty with a Purpose” project. Her project aims to spread awareness about mental health and to encourage farming methods that protect the environment.

The Miss World 2025 event features 109 contestants from around the world. The final crowning will happen on May 31 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, India.
