The Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has been plunged into mourning following the sudden death of Veueza Star Kandjii, the personal secretary to the organisation’s executive director.
Kandjii collapsed earlier this morning at the Hilton Hotel in Windhoek, where she was attending the Namibian Women in Aviation pre-launch event hosted by the Namibian Authority Company (NCA).
Emergency medical personnel attended to her at the venue and transported her to hospital at approximately 10:50 a.m., where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Sources close to the matter indicated that she had a history of heart complications.
Former acting NCAA spokesperson, George Matroos, confirmed the tragic news to the media.
“At this moment, I cannot say much, but an official notice has been issued to the family. The body is at the mortuary, although I cannot confirm which one,” Matroos stated.
