Ndama Junior Primary has suspended classes and sent learners home due to ongoing sanitation challenges linked to the school’s toilet facilities.
The school, which relies on a septic tank system, has been facing persistent problems, including frequent overflows, sewer backflow into toilets, and an unpleasant odor across the premises. The worsening conditions prompted management to halt lessons to safeguard the health and wellbeing of learners and staff.
In a notice issued to learners, parents were informed that classes will remain suspended until further communication is provided. Additionally, a scheduled parents’ meeting set for 7 October has been postponed until further notice.
School authorities have not yet indicated when normal teaching will resume, but assured parents that updates will be communicated as soon as possible.
