NFA Suspends Namibian Correctional Services FC and Officials

The Namibia Football Association (NFA) has suspended the Namibian Correctional Services Football Club (NCS FC) along with two of its officials, Absalom Mushaandja and Raphael Hamunyela, effective 19 January 2025, until further notice.

The suspension, imposed by the NFA Executive Council, results in the loss of all membership rights for the club and the two officials, in accordance with Article 17(1) of the NFA Statutes. Additionally, Article 17(3) and Articles 12 & 14(3) of the Southern Stream First Division Statutes confirm that the suspended parties are no longer entitled to participate in any competitions or activities under the NFA’s jurisdiction.

NFA General Secretary Charles Siyauya officially communicated the decision, emphasizing that all affiliates and members should refrain from engaging in any sporting contact with NCS FC, Mushaandja, and Hamunyela during their suspension.

Furthermore, Siyauya confirmed the suspension of northern football administrator Fillipus Mayambi Dala, adding to a string of disciplinary actions taken by the NFA.

While the suspension remains indefinite, the NFA Executive Council retains the authority to lift it at any time before the next NFA Congress. Updates will be provided should any changes occur.

For now, NCS FC and the affected officials remain barred from Namibian football activities.
