A 50-year-old man was taken into custody last Friday following an alleged shooting incident at Biggies Lounge in Nkurenkuru.

According to police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, the suspect reportedly shot a 24-year-old man three times in the left leg with a 9mm pistol after a heated argument escalated around 01:30 am.

The victim was quickly transported to Rundu State Hospital, where he is being treated and remains in a serious but stable condition.

Deputy Commissioner Shikwambi confirmed that police investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading up to the violent altercation.
