A tragic road accident occurred on Friday at Mile 20 in the Kavango West region, claiming one life and injuring six others after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with cattle on the road.

Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Julia Sakuwa-Neo, confirmed the incident, stating that the driver, Willem Sindimba (53), lost control of the vehicle after attempting to avoid a herd of cattle. He successfully veered away from a nearby electrical pole but was unable to regain control of the car, which subsequently crashed into a fallen tree on the opposite lane.
