
A business in Elambo, located in the Onkumbula area of the Oshikoto Region, was targeted in a robbery during the early hours of Tuesday morning. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
The suspects made off with N$100,948 in cash, along with solar panels, airtime vouchers, hair clippers, and clothing valued at approximately N$4,000.
According to a police report released today, two unknown male suspects broke into the TJ Yuusholo Investment CC premises around midnight. They allegedly cut a padlock and forced open the entrance.
Inside the shop, they found a female cashier asleep. She was reportedly assaulted, threatened, and bound with sellotape over her mouth, arms, and legs.
The suspects stole the cash from a safe on the counter and took additional items from the store before fleeing in a getaway vehicle.
No arrests have been made at this stage, and the suspects remain at large. Police investigations are ongoing.
