Over 20% of Social Grant Beneficiaries Paid in First Three Days, Says NamPost

NamPost clears early hurdles as social grant payouts reach over 20% of beneficiaries in just three days.

NamPost has announced that over 20% of eligible recipients of the new social cash grants have already been registered and paid within the first three days of the nationwide rollout, which began on 13 October.

In a statement released today, the company admitted to facing early difficulties, including overcrowding at post offices and technical issues with some mobile units. However, NamPost confirmed that these challenges have since been resolved, with all mobile teams now fully functional.

The state-owned postal service highlighted Rundu as one of the most active centres, where more than 5 000 beneficiaries have already received their payments. NamPost further assured the public that every registered beneficiary will be served as the payout process continues across the country.
