The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) has been hit by another high-profile resignation, with long-serving member Vakamuina Kamutuezu stepping down effective immediately.

Kamutuezu, who dedicated more than 15 years to the party in positions such as Youth League finance secretary and central committee member, confirmed that she is leaving to explore new opportunities outside politics.
Her departure marks the third senior resignation from the PDM within a week. Earlier, former MP Yvette Araes announced her exit on Wednesday, stating she wanted to “pursue new paths,” while Esmeralda !Aebes resigned on Thursday, citing internal divisions and personal reasons.
The wave of resignations raises fresh questions about stability within Namibia’s official opposition party.
