Authorities are calling on members of the public to assist in locating a police officer who mysteriously vanished in Walvis Bay on Friday afternoon.

George Hamanja Isaacks, aged 52, who works under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security in the Department of Police, has not been seen since around 14:00 on Friday, 2 May 2025. He had reportedly traveled from Windhoek to Walvis Bay on official assignment.

Senior Inspector Judith Shomongula of the Erongo Police confirmed that Isaacks was last seen at his workplace in Walvis Bay on the day of his disappearance. Since then, there has been no communication from him. Attempts to reach him via mobile phone have been unsuccessful, and both his relatives and friends report no contact.

At the time of his disappearance, Isaacks was wearing a khaki trouser and shirt, a blue denim jacket, and a grey-and-white cap. He is described as light-skinned.

Authorities are urging anyone with information that could help locate Isaacks to reach out to Detective Senior Inspector Gail Kolele at 081 218 7336 or to report the matter at their nearest police station.
