The police in the Otjozondjupa Region have clarified information regarding the death of a young woman at the 5 Rand location in Okahandja. The victim has been identified as 15-year-old Beyoncé !Kharuxas, who was found dead on 26 April. In a recent report circulating on social media, it was said that the deceased was believed to be in her 30s.

Police reports indicate that on the night of Friday, 25 April, !Kharuxas and her friends went to Dakaza Bar, where they consumed alcohol. While at the bar, they were joined by two men who bought them more drinks.

At some point, !Kharuxas told her friends she was going to the toilet but never returned. That was the last time they saw her, Mbeha said.

Further investigations revealed that around 01:00 on Saturday morning, 26 April, !Kharuxas left the bar with a 40-year-old English-speaking man.

Later that day, at about 16:50, her body was discovered by a passerby in nearby bushes. She was found wearing only a black top.

According to Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, the Regional Community Liaison Officer, a case of murder and rape has been opened. This incident follows two others involving young girls from the same school who were found murdered on different occasions this month, but the culprit has not yet been arrested and police investigations are ongoing.
