
Law enforcement officers at the Ariamsvlei border post in the ||Kharas Region have uncovered drugs valued at approximately N$3.5 million hidden beneath a bridge near the border entry.
According to the police crime report, the discovery was made during a routine inspection when officers noticed a shoe track leading to the suspicious area. Although no individuals were present at the scene, a thorough search revealed three bags containing a substantial quantity of drugs.
Authorities found 60,660 grams of cannabis, divided into 59 parcels with an additional 55 grams loose, valued at N$3 million. In addition, 4,073 mandrax tablets were recovered, estimated to be worth N$488,760.

Police have confirmed that investigations into the incident are ongoing as they work to trace the origin and intended recipients of the seized substances.
