Psquare – Peter Okoye Clears the Air

Peter Okoye Cleared the air: Accusations of Reporting Brother to EFCC, Unveils Shocking Financial Misconduct within P-SQUARE Management

Peter Okoye, one half of the iconic Nigerian music duo P-SQUARE, has come forward to address recent allegations made by his twin brother, Paul Okoye. The allegations, which have sparked widespread speculation and media frenzy, revolve around claims that Peter reported Paul to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Peter vehemently denied these accusations, stating unequivocally that he never reported his brother to the EFCC. According to Peter, the confusion stems from a legal dispute involving a separate company, Northside Music, which he discovered was secretly founded and managed by their elder brother Jude Okoye and Jude’s wife, Ifeoma Okoye.
Peter explained that Northside Music, which bears a striking resemblance to the family’s official management company, Northside Entertainment, had been receiving millions of dollars in royalties intended for P-SQUARE. These funds were allegedly diverted into Jude’s personal bank account, with significant sums transferred to Paul.
“After I discovered this secret company, I approached Paul several times to discuss it, but he denied knowing anything about it,” Peter said. “I never filed a petition against Paul. My legal actions were solely focused on Jude and his wife, who were the directors of this company.”

Peter further clarified that while Jude was detained and later released on bail, Paul was only invited for questioning by the EFCC due to his financial dealings with Northside Music. He emphasized that Paul’s name was never included in his petition.
The saga has not only rocked the P-SQUARE brand but also raised serious questions about the internal dynamics of the family-run business. Peter’s revelations suggest years of financial misconduct, betrayal, and a potential legal battle that could further strain the once-unbreakable bond between the Okoye brothers.
Peter has vowed to release all relevant documents, including the EFCC’s final report and bank statements, once the investigation is concluded. “The story is very long, but I will tell it all in due time,” Peter said, hinting at more revelations to come.
This response comes on the heels of another recent statement by Peter, in which he countered Paul’s claims of being the mastermind behind all of P-SQUARE’s hit songs, adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing family feud.
As fans and the public await further developments, the P-SQUARE saga continues to unfold, reminding everyone that even the most successful brands can face internal turmoil.
