A security guard is recovering in hospital after a brutal assault at Monte Carlo Bar in Okangwena location during the early hours of Friday morning.
Police said the 39-year-old guard was on duty around 03h30 when two unidentified suspects approached and attacked him. The assailants allegedly struck the guard multiple times on the head and arms with a hammer before stabbing him in the right leg.
The injured guard was rushed to Onandjokwe Hospital, where medical staff confirmed he is in a stable condition.
Authorities have launched a manhunt for the two suspects and are urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward.
