Saka Fires Arsenal into Champions League Final with Win Over Atlético

Arsenal have secured a place in the UEFA Champions League final after defeating Atlético Madrid 1–0 in a tense semi-final second leg on Tuesday night.
The breakthrough came just before halftime when Bukayo Saka reacted quickly inside the box, finishing calmly to score the only goal of the match. His effort proved decisive in a tightly contested encounter at the Emirates Stadium.
The victory handed Arsenal a 2–1 aggregate win, following a 1–1 draw in the first leg in Madrid. Despite facing sustained pressure after the break, the English side remained organised at the back and managed to protect their slender lead.
Under the guidance of manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal showed discipline and composure, frustrating Atlético’s attempts to find an equaliser. The Spanish side pushed forward in the closing stages but were unable to break through a resolute defensive line.
There were moments of tension late in the match, including penalty appeals from Atlético that were waved away, but Arsenal held firm to see out the result.
The win marks a major achievement for the North London club, who return to the Champions League final for the first time in nearly 20 years. It also highlights the progress made under Arteta as Arsenal continue their resurgence among Europe’s elite.
They will now await the outcome of the other semi-final to learn whether they will face Paris Saint-Germain or Bayern Munich in the final later this month.
