Police in Tsumeb have launched an inquest following the tragic death of a 30-year-old student nurse whose body was discovered in her room on Friday evening.
According to a police incident report, officers found a suicide note on her bed, indicating that the woman may have taken her own life. She has been identified as Ndiifeweleka Mathilde Alfeus, a student nurse attached to the Tsumeb hospital.
Police confirmed that her next of kin have been notified, and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
Authorities have urged the public to seek help when experiencing emotional distress, emphasising that support services are available.
