
Authorities are investigating the death of a 44-year-old woman in Mururani village, Kavango West Region, in what is believed to be a case of suicide.
The deceased, identified as Elizabeth Gideon, was discovered on Monday inside her home, which had been locked from the inside. According to Namibian Police Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga, officers had to force entry by breaking the padlock before they found her unresponsive in bed.
Preliminary information suggests that Gideon may have taken an overdose of an unknown type of pills. The exact circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear as investigations continue.
