Police in the Kavango West Region have arrested an 18-year-old male learner for allegedly threatening to kill a school matron at Mpungu ELCIN Hostel on Monday night.
According to Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga, the incident happened around 21h00 inside the hostel dormitory. The suspect reportedly confronted the matron, who is an adult Namibian male, and threatened him with a knife.
The police responded quickly and arrested the learner shortly after the incident. He is currently being detained while investigations continue.
Authorities have not yet revealed what led to the confrontation.
