Teenager Fatally Stabbed to death in Broad Daylight in Rundu


Rundu – A 17-year-old boy lost his life after being stabbed in broad daylight on Friday in Rundu’s industrial area. The incident took place on John Mutorwa Road, just hours after the road was officially inaugurated.

Deputy Commissioner Bonifatius Kanyetu, the Kavango East crime investigations coordinator, confirmed the tragic event, stating that the teenager was attacked while walking along the street. Two unidentified suspects reportedly overpowered him, stabbing him in the chest before stealing his cellphone, valued at N$2,500. The victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Authorities have identified the deceased as Paulus Kahili, a Grade 8 learner at a local school. As the suspects remain at large, police are calling on members of the public to provide any information that could assist in their arrest. Those with relevant details are urged to contact Detective Chief Inspector Kakoro from the Serious Crime Sub-Division at 081 258 2334.

The police investigation is ongoing.
