Three Arrested Over Truck Driver’s Murder in Oshikoto

Police Report – The Updated World

Police in the Oshikoto Region have taken three men into custody in connection with the gruesome murder of a truck driver whose body was discovered at Okambonde village earlier this week.

Chief Inspector Elifas Kawinga confirmed the arrests, saying the suspects — aged 38, 36, and 19 — were all Namibian nationals. The arrests followed an intensive investigation that led officers to crucial evidence linking the men to the crime.

The missing truck cab was recovered at Oshikango in the Ohangwena Region, while the trailers were found earlier near Shoprite in Ondangwa.

Kawinga dismissed circulating claims that the victim had been decapitated, stating that the body was found intact.

Police continue to investigate the motive and circumstances surrounding the incident.
