The Namibian police are investigating two suspected suicides that occurred over the weekend in Windhoek and Tsumeb. Both men were found hanged in separate incidents, with no signs of foul play reported.
In Windhoek’s Otjomuise Extension 09, the lifeless body of 26-year-old Hanhele Lineekela Wedeinge was discovered early Friday morning, 12 September, at around 06:00. He had allegedly hanged himself from a thorn tree in a nearby riverbed.
Later that same day, tragedy struck again in the Kuvukiland residential area of Tsumeb. There, 51-year-old Heita Thadeus was found dead at his home, also hanged from a tree. According to police reports, he used a tie, and his body was discovered by children. Investigators confirmed the presence of a suicide note at the scene.
