A shocking murder has shaken the quiet community of Oshalumbu village in the Okongo Constituency after an unidentified man was fatally shot on the evening of August 26, 2025.

According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM, when the suspect allegedly used a shotgun to shoot the victim in the right side of the neck. The man died instantly.

The gruesome discovery was made the following morning at around 6:00 AM by a schoolboy on his way to class. Police confirmed that the body was found lying on its left side at the edge of the road, bearing multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim was dressed in navy trousers, a blue striped T-shirt over a white jersey, navy socks, flip-flops, and a maroon beanie. His identity remains unknown, and the body has been taken to Okongo State Mortuary for an autopsy.

Authorities have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with information to come forward as the suspect remains at large.
