A 28-year-old man sustained serious injuries after the vehicle he was driving overturned on the Nepara-Nzinze gravel road on Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred at about 12:45 PM when the driver, identified as Sivera Willbard from Sitopogo village, lost control of a white Toyota pickup while negotiating a curve. The vehicle veered off the road and overturned, causing extensive damage.
According to police reports, Willbard, who was driving alone at the time, did not possess a valid driver’s license. He was rushed to Nankudu State Hospital by emergency responders who arrived shortly after the crash.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident, which has once again raised concerns over reckless and negligent driving in the region. Police have urged drivers to exercise caution and adhere to road safety regulations to prevent further accidents.
