The death toll has risen to two following a serious accident that occurred tonight about 50 kilometres from Otjiwarongo on the road towards Okahandja.
Rescue teams have found the missing woman about 15 metres from the overturned double-cab bakkie. She was thrown from the vehicle during the rollover and sadly passed away at the scene.
The crash happened when the driver swerved to avoid a 200-litre drum lying in the middle of the road, believed to have fallen from another vehicle. The sudden move caused the bakkie to overturn, ejecting all four passengers.
Two people have now died, while the remaining passengers sustained various injuries. Emergency responders are still at the scene providing assistance and clearing the area.
