A 34-year-old woman from Kehemu, Rundu, has been arrested after she was allegedly found with a large stash of medical substances and suspected stolen property.
According to sources, the arrest took place on Monday, 11 August 2025, in the afternoon near Family Tyres Repair in Kehemu. Police reportedly discovered 112 containers of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) and 134 plastic bags containing antiretroviral (ARV) medication in her possession.
It is alleged that the woman is employed as a cleaner at Rundu State Hospital. Authorities suspect the medication may have been unlawfully taken from the facility.
The suspect is expected to appear in court later this week as police continue investigations into the case.
