Woman Killed in Brutal Beer Crate Attack at Onamunkoti Village – The Updated World

A 64-year-old woman lost her life in a shocking act of violence on Friday afternoon after allegedly being struck on the head with a beer crate by a 26-year-old man.

According to Omusati Regional Police Commander, Commissioner Ismael Basson, the incident happened around 14:00 at Onamunkoti village in the Okahao Constituency. The woman was seated peacefully on a wooden bench outside a local shop when the attack occurred.

“It is alleged that the suspect approached the victim and, without saying a word or showing any warning signs, picked up an empty beer crate and hit her once on the front of the head,” Basson stated.

The force of the blow reportedly caused the woman to fall to the ground, where she died on the spot.

Police confirmed that the beer crate used in the attack has been retrieved and is now being treated as a key piece of evidence. The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing.

Authorities have not yet released the names of either the victim or the suspect, pending notification of the family.

The community has been left in shock, with many questioning what could have triggered such a senseless act of violence in broad daylight.
