Walvis Bay police are investigating a case of suspected suicide after a 39-year-old man was found dead at Naftali Park flats on Wednesday morning.
The deceased, identified as Fritimberus Joseph Haman, was discovered at around 10h00 by his wife, who became concerned after noticing his absence despite his work bag and jacket remaining inside their flat.
According to the police, Haman’s wife later found him hanging with a rope in the garage. No suicide note was left behind.
Erongo police spokesperson confirmed the incident and said investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading to the man’s death.
Authorities have since urged community members to seek support if they experience mental health challenges.
