Works Minister reshuffles Namibia Airports Company board

Minister of Works and Transport Veikko Nekundi has relieved five members of the Namibia Airports Company (NAC) Board of Directors with immediate effect.
The affected board members are Elizabeth Peterson, Lucien Lleweyllyn Mouton, Matheus ||Gowaseb, Carol Rosheta Williams and Ferdinand Nghiyolwa.In their place, Nekundi has appointed Otniel Podewitz as deputy chairperson, alongside Sophia Kasera, Phillip Iifo, Loide Ekandjo and Natacha Kasera Kandombo as members of the board.
According to the Ministry of Works and Transport, the appointments are intended to ensure continuity in the operations of the state owned enterprise while strengthening its governance structures.
The latest changes follow the appointment of Rosalinde Nakale as chairperson of the NAC board in June.
The ministry has not disclosed the reasons for the removal of the five board members.
