Kangulu Urges IPC Members to Unite Ahead of 2029 Elections

Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) Member of Parliament Aloisius Kangulu has called on party members to remain united, disciplined and committed as the party restructures its internal leadership in preparation for the 2029 general elections.
Addressing party members during an internal restructuring meeting, Kangulu said the process was aimed at building a stronger organisation capable of delivering effective leadership and responding to the needs of ordinary Namibians.
He said leadership within the party should be viewed as a responsibility to serve the people rather than an opportunity to seek power.
“We will support every law that benefits the Namibian people, but we will oppose laws that only serve the interests of a few individuals,” Kangulu said.
He expressed concern over the country’s high unemployment rate, particularly among young people, persistent poverty and the widening gap between the rich and the poor.
He argued that Namibia’s abundant natural resources have not translated into meaningful economic benefits for many citizens.
“It is not that Namibia lacks natural resources. The challenge is leadership. Our resources should create jobs and improve the lives of our people,” he said.
Kangulu also urged members not to be distracted by political criticism or outside influence, saying the party should remain focused on its mission of providing accountable leadership and strengthening democracy.
He encouraged party members to actively promote the IPC manifesto in communities across the country by engaging voters directly ahead of the next general elections.
“We must take our manifesto from house to house and community to community so that every Namibian understands our vision for better governance, quality education, improved healthcare, job creation and social justice,” he said.
Kangulu said the party’s success in 2029 would depend on unity, discipline and collective commitment from its members. He reminded supporters that lasting political change is achieved through dedication, organisation and consistent engagement with the electorate.
Concluding his address, Kangulu thanked party members for their participation in the restructuring process and urged them to work together to strengthen the party for the challenges ahead.
“We can strengthen our position and move forward together. Thank you for your commitment and dedication to the party,” he said.
