Rundu Chiefs FC Asked to Refund N$2,000 as Rodney Haneb’s Transfer Saga Continues

A transfer dispute has emerged involving midfielder Rodney Haneb, with Poison Arrows FC insisting that Rundu Chiefs FC reimburse the club N$2,000 before they agree to release the player.
Haneb spent two seasons with Rundu Chiefs FC including the first round of the Namibia Premier Football League season. However, after struggling for regular game time, he requested to leave in search of more playing opportunities.
The winger subsequently joined North West First Division side Poison Arrows FC, where he reportedly trained for only one week. According to sources, Haneb did not feature in any official matches for the club after being informed that players were not receiving any financial compensation. He then decided to leave before making a competitive appearance.
Haneb is now understood to be attracting interest from newly promoted North East First Division side Rundu Rangers FC, who are keen to secure his services ahead of the 2026/27 season.
However, the move has been hindered after Poison Arrows FC reportedly refused to release the player unless Rundu Chiefs FC refunds the N$2,000 the club allegedly paid when Haneb joined them.
One source also indicated that Rundu Chiefs FC believe Haneb is still their player, claiming that he was only loaned to Poison Arrows FC. The Updated World has reached out to Rundu Chiefs FC Chairperson for clarification, and any response received will be updated.
At the time of publishing, the situation remains unresolved, with Rundu Rangers FC awaiting further developments to determine whether an agreement can be reached that will allow Haneb to complete his move and continue his career in the North East First Division.
