Namibia Post Ltd (NamPost) has publicly extended its “heartfelt condolences” following the passing of one of its pension beneficiaries, Ms. Dominga Musowa, in Rundu on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
In a media release issued today, November 12, 2025, NamPost expressed “great sadness” over Ms. Musowa’s death and offered support to her bereaved family and loved ones during this difficult time.
The release, issued by Acting Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Eldorette Harmse, also addressed the corporation’s commitment to ensuring safe and efficient service delivery for all pension beneficiaries. NamPost stated it remains committed to serving all beneficiaries with “dignity and efficiency” during payment cycles.
To this end, NamPost is working with stakeholders, including line Ministries, the Namibian Police, and community leaders, to maintain safe, orderly, and respectful service.
The company announced it would be strengthening strict queue management and queue limiting systems at selected branches to prevent overcrowding and ensure smooth, efficient service. Furthermore, beneficiaries are “strongly encouraged” to follow the designated in-branch (Post Office) payment schedule and visit branches only on their scheduled days.
NamPost also issued a special reminder to families and caregivers of bedridden, hospitalised, and critically ill beneficiaries. Instead of risking travel, they are urged to inform NamPost of the beneficiary’s details so that mobile teams can be arranged to visit them.
The statement confirmed that NamPost will “continue with our investigations relating to the specific incident in Rundu” and reiterated its sincere condolences to Ms. Musowa’s family and the Rundu community for their loss.
