Speaking at the hand over of new class room to Didimika Private School value at N$340 000, Former minister of works and transport, John Mutorwa, has underscored that Namibia’s education system can only progress when all stakeholders actively participate. Speaking at the handover of newly built classrooms, Mutorwa stressed that quality learning depends on joint commitment from government, parents, teachers, pupils, public enterprises, private companies and international partners.

“Education can only be achieved with active participation of local communities, public enterprises, private enterprises and international and foreign agencies committed to promoting African development,” Mutorwa said. He added that building a strong education foundation is not the responsibility of government alone but requires a united effort from society.

His remarks came as NamPower, through its foundation, reinforced its ongoing investment in improving learning conditions across the country. The latest project benefits a school that accommodates 120 pupils from pre-primary to Grade 3 and employs seven staff members.

NamPower senior district supervisor for Kavango East and West, Venesius Kamupo, supported Mutorwa’s message, noting that safe and well-equipped learning facilities are essential for meaningful education. He said improved infrastructure boosts attendance, enhances performance and creates an environment where pupils can grow academically and socially.
