Uis Warriors FC to Boycott Fixture Over Unresolved ERFL Concerns

Uis Warriors FC have informed football authorities that they will not travel for their upcoming Erongo Regional Football League clash against Karibib FC on 7 June, a decision that could see the club forfeit the match.
The club says the move comes after months of frustration over issues it believes have not been adequately addressed by the Erongo Regional Football Association (Erfa).
In correspondence sent to the regional football leadership, Uis Warriors outlined several challenges affecting the club, including the condition of the playing field in Uis, which they argue is unsafe for players. The club claims injuries have occurred as a result of the poor surface despite previous complaints.
The team also raised concerns about what it describes as hostility directed at some of its officials, as well as the deteriorating road infrastructure leading to the venue, which has reportedly caused travel difficulties and additional costs.
Adding to the situation, Uis Warriors say a number of their players are currently occupied with academic examinations, further reducing their options for the weekend fixture.
The club has indicated that it is willing to accept any consequences arising from its decision not to honour the match, including the possible awarding of points to Karibib FC.
Meanwhile, ERFL chairperson Wilheim Festius denied receiving the communications referenced by the club. He said the matter would be investigated to determine whether any correspondence had been sent to the association.
A final decision on the fixture is expected once league officials have reviewed the circumstances surrounding the club’s withdrawal.
