Kavango East Third Division Derecognises Kashu Peter Fourth Division League

The Kavango East Third Division Central Stream League has officially announced that it no longer recognizes the Kashu Peter Fourth Division League as an affiliated member under its jurisdiction.
In a letter dated 12 June 2026 and addressed to Mashare Constituency Sport Executive Chairperson Samuel Ndara, the league stated that the decision followed the Kashu Peter Fourth Division’s failure to comply with directives issued on 14 April 2026.
According to the correspondence, the Fourth Division league allegedly failed to adhere to two key directives communicated by the Third Division Central Stream League. Officials indicated that the consequences of non-compliance had already been outlined in the earlier communication and that the league had now moved to fully enforce those measures.
As a result of the decision:
The Kashu Peter Fourth Division League will no longer be recognized as an affiliate or member of the Kavango East Third Division Central Stream League.
Teams participating in the league will not be eligible for promotion to higher divisions under the Third Division Central Stream League’s authority.
The league will not be incorporated into the official promotion and relegation structure administered by the Third Division Central Stream League.
The letter further stated that the enforcement action was necessary because the Executive Committee of the Kashu Peter Fourth Division League had allegedly failed to implement recommendations provided by the Third Division Central Stream League.
Despite the derecognition, clubs will still be allowed to continue playing their fixtures. However, the competition will now be treated as a non-promotional social league, meaning participating teams will not have a pathway to advance within the official football league structure governed by the Central Stream League.
The league also emphasized that it would not entertain appeals, complaints, or claims arising from the activities of the Kashu Peter Fourth Division League, arguing that the competition is no longer considered a member of its structure.
The development is expected to have significant implications for clubs and players in the Mashare area, particularly those hoping to compete for promotion into the recognized football pyramid in Kavango East.
The Kashu Peter Fourth Division League has not yet publicly responded to the decision.
