Oshikoto Leads in Youth Development Fund Approvals

The Ministry of Finance has released the official list of 66 businesses approved under the latest round of the Youth Development Fund, with the Oshikoto Region emerging as the top beneficiary.

Oshikoto received approval for 10 businesses, the highest number among all regions, and four more than the Khomas Region, which secured six approvals despite recording a larger number of applications.

According to the Ministry, most of the approved projects fall within the agriculture sector, highlighting the continued national focus on food production and agribusiness development.

The Ministry also encouraged more young people to take advantage of the fund. Applicants aged 18 to 45 years can submit their forms through Governor’s Offices, the Bank of Namibia (BON), or Agribank branches across the country.

The Ministry noted that the Youth Development Fund aims to support youth entrepreneurship, stimulate job creation, and contribute to regional economic growth.
