Zambezi Region to Host Miss Namibia 2027

The Zambezi Region has been confirmed as the host of the Miss Namibia and Miss Teen Namibia 2027 national pageants, with Katima Mulilo set to welcome the prestigious events.
The announcement was made this week, with the Zambezi Region taking over hosting duties from Omaheke, which hosted the 2026 editions in Gobabis.
Miss Namibia Organisation (MNO) National Director Beulah Boois-Beukes said the organisation is excited about taking the pageants to a new region.
“We as the MNO and NBC want to use this opportunity not only to showcase the town and its people, but also to create meaningful programmes that reach young people across the region. From film making initiatives through the NBC’s Mukurob project to the Drama School to crowning our next winners,” Boois-Beukes said.
The 2027 event is expected to create opportunities for young people and local creatives while showcasing the Zambezi Region’s culture, tourism and talent.
The announcement comes after Charene Labuschagne was crowned Miss Namibia 2026, while Jessica Nokokure Kurth won the Miss Teen Namibia 2026 title.
Labuschagne, a 27-year-old creative director from Windhoek, succeeded Johanna Swartbooi as Miss Namibia, while Kurth, from Otjinene in the Omaheke Region, secured the Miss Teen Namibia crown.
