Trustco Pays Tribute to Max Endjala’s Dedication

Trustco Group Holdings has announced an internal investigation following the death of its Chief Operations Officer, Max Endjala, who was allegedly involved in a diamond heist at the Namibia Desert Diamonds (NAMDIA) facility on Saturday.

Trustco spokesperson Neville Basson confirmed the development, expressing the company’s shock and grief over the incident.

Endjala, who reportedly sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head during the heist, was positively identified through fingerprint analysis. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after being admitted to a hospital in Windhoek.

“Max Endjala was a valued member of the Trustco family for over 21 years,” said Basson in a statement. “His dedication and commitment to Trustco will always be remembered and appreciated.”

Trustco Group Holdings will be flying its corporate flag at half-mast for the next five days, in respect of its deceased employee. Neville Basson explained that it is a company tradition to fly the flag at half mast when one of its employees has died. “It is tradition with the group to fly our Trustco flags at half-mast on the death of any staff member for a five day period,” Basson said.

The diamond heist roberry has sparked widespread attention, with authorities continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident. NAMDIA has yet to announce how many diamonds was stolen.
