The Namibian Police have identified the protection officer killed during the recent diamond heist at NAMDIA as Francois Eiseb, aged 57. Eiseb’s body was discovered in a store room, bound hand and foot, with his face covered by a shopping bag and a gunshot wound to the head.

The incident, which has sent shockwaves through the nation, also resulted in the death of one of the suspects involved in the heist. According to sources from the Windhoek Fire Brigade, the suspect suffered self-inflicted gunshot wounds and later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
