In a post shared on social media, Ngurare said he enjoys listening to podcasts covering a wide range of subjects but has a particular interest in African productions, especially those created in Namibia. He noted that locally produced podcasts remain limited, although he highlighted This is Namibia, a podcast focused on travel experiences across the country, as one of the few examples. He also said he regularly watches content from Namibia’s creative industry, including comedy clips and videos by content creators such as his friend Boli Mootseng.

The Prime Minister said Namibia has significant potential to expand its podcasting landscape and encouraged people from different professions to create content in their respective fields.

According to Ngurare, podcasts could cover subjects including education, politics, business, governance, religion, health, culture, sports, traditional authorities, and indigenous languages. He suggested that professionals such as teachers, pastors, medical practitioners, information technology enthusiasts, and other experts could use the medium to educate and engage the public on topics within their areas of expertise.
