A tragic accident on Monday evening claimed the lives of two people and left two others critically injured on the road between Kalkfeld and Otjiwarongo.
According to reports from the Namibian Police (NamPol), the crash occurred at approximately 18:25 when the driver of a silver Volkswagen Polo lost control of the vehicle. The car veered off the road, traveling several metres on the right-hand side before overturning multiple times.
Senior Inspector Maureen Mbeha, Head of Community Affairs in the Otjozondjupa Region, confirmed that a male and a female occupant died at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released.
Two other male passengers suffered severe injuries and were rushed to Otjiwarongo State Hospital for urgent medical attention.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
