Woman Killed After Alleged Drunk Driver Crashes Into Her House In Okuryangava

A 40-year-old woman lost her life in the early hours of Friday morning after a vehicle allegedly driven by a drunk driver crashed into her house in Okuryangava while she was asleep.
The deceased, Loide Kadhila, popularly known as Mwaanawa, was sleeping in her room with her two-and-a-half-year-old daughter when the vehicle ploughed into the house. The young child sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
Two of Kadhila’s daughters, who were sleeping in a separate room at the time of the incident, escaped unharmed. However, they were also taken to hospital for observation and support by social workers.
Kadhila was a hairdresser and is remembered by family and friends as a devoted mother. She is survived by her four children, husband, mother, and five siblings.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
