WBO Africa Junior Lightweight champion Martin “The Alligator” Mukungu has joined the Namibian Correctional Service (NCS) as one of five professional boxers recruited from the MTC Nestor Tobias Sunshine Boxing and Fitness Academy.

Mukungu, who captured the WBO Africa Junior Lightweight title with a first-round knockout victory over Flame Nangolo on 30 May, has since left for Grootfontein, where he has begun his recruit training with the correctional service.
