NCS–Young African FC dispute

The legal battle between NCS Football Club and Young African Football Club over a disputed N$1.3 million club sale agreement has moved forward, with the High Court setting deadlines for both parties to submit their legal documents before the matter returns to court.

Judge Shafimana Ueitele has ordered Young African FC to file its response, counterclaim or any legal objections by 21 August 2026. NCS Football Club will then have until 1 September to respond, while further pleadings, if necessary, must be submitted by 11 September.

The two clubs have also been directed to exchange documents and discovery affidavits by 15 September before submitting a joint case management report by 24 September. The matter will return to court on 29 September for a case management conference.

The case stems from an October 2024 agreement in which NCS FC intended to purchase Young African’s Namibia Premier Football League status for N$1.3 million. NCS FC claims it paid N$450,000 towards the deal but alleges that the transfer of the league status, club assets and players never took place.

NCS FC further claims that Young African later attempted to increase the purchase price to N$2.1 million, a proposal it rejected, insisting that the original agreement remained valid.
