Eeshoke Chula Chula Impresses in Zambezi Pre-Season Tour
Namibia Premier Football League side Eeshoke Chula Chula FC put up an impressive display on Saturday as it visited the Zambezi Region for a pre- season tour, facing three local clubs at the Katima Mulilo Sports Complex.
The northern giants played three matches against clubs from different levels of the Zambezi football structure, recording two victories and a draw in a busy day of pre-season action.
Eeshoke Chula Chula opened its campaign with a 2–1 victory over Oryza Sativa FC, before continuing its winning run with a narrow 1–0 victory against Black Hawks FC. In its final match of the tour, Eeshoke Chula Chula was held to a 2–2 draw by Bush Bucks FC, newly promoted from the Zambezi Regional Second Division League to the North Eastern Stream First Division.
The tour provided Eeshoke Chula Chula with valuable preparation ahead of the new Namibia Premier Football League season, while giving the Zambezi-based clubs an opportunity to test themselves against one of Namibia’s top-flight sides.
Eeshoke Chula Chula finished second in the 2025/26 Namibia Premier Football League standings, and the club will be looking to build on that strong campaign as it prepares for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Black Hawks FC currently competes in the North Eastern Stream First Division, while Bush Bucks have recently earned promotion to the same division after their successful
campaign in the Zambezi Regional Second Division League. Oryza Sativa FC competes in the Zambezi Regional Second Division League, making the tour a valuable opportunity for the club to measure its progress against higher-level opposition.
The three matches also highlighted the growing competitiveness of football in the Zambezi Region, with local clubs gaining valuable experience from facing established Premier League opposition.
For Eeshoke Chula Chula, the three-game tour ended positively, with two wins and one draw, scored five goals and conceded three goals as the club continues its preparations for the new
season.
