Officer Cadet Dies After Collapsing During Training Near Okahandja

A 19-year-old officer cadet, identified as M.P. Kavari, died after reportedly collapsing during training at Farm Berquell near the Osona Military Base in the Okahandja area on Friday.

According to the police, Kavari collapsed at about 12h30 while taking part in training activities. He was rushed to the Okahandja State Hospital for medical attention but was declared dead upon arrival.

Police said Kavari’s next of kin have been informed of his death.

The circumstances surrounding his death are still being investigated, and further details are expected as the investigation continues.
