The delegation will join the governors of the Ohangwena, Omusati, Oshana and Kunene regions, together with business representatives and other stakeholders from Namibia, for the multi-sectoral exhibition scheduled for 19 to 23 August 2026.

The XXXIII ( 33rd)edition of Expo-Huíla is being held in Lubango and is organised by the Association of Agro-Pastoral, Commercial and Industrial Enterprises of Huíla (AAPCIL), with support from the Provincial Government of Huíla.

The exhibition is regarded as one of the major economic and multi-sectoral trade fairs in southern Angola.

The participation of the Eenhana Town Council forms part of a broader Namibian effort to use the expo as a platform for business networking, investment opportunities, knowledge exchange and the development of cross-border partnerships.

The mission is particularly significant for Namibia’s northern regions, which share close geographical, cultural and commercial links with Angola.

The Oshikango border corridor has long facilitated the movement of goods between the two countries, while the Huila-Expo provides an opportunity to expand these economic connections into new areas of trade and investment.

For local authorities such as the Eenhana Town Council, participation in the exhibition also provides an opportunity to engage with their Angolan counterparts and explore areas of cooperation in local economic development, municipal development and business promotion.

The presence of business representatives from Namibia is expected to further enhance the country’s visibility in the Angolan market, allowing entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, establish commercial contacts and explore potential partnerships.

The organisers have described Expo-Huíla as an important economic platform bringing together businesses, institutions and other stakeholders to promote investment, innovation and commercial relationships.

The 2026 edition is scheduled to run from 19 to 23 August at the AAPCIL Exhibition Park in Lubango.

The event will bring together exhibitors and stakeholders from different sectors, creating opportunities for interaction between businesses and institutions from Angola and beyond.

The participation of the Eenhana Town Council delegation is therefore expected to contribute to strengthening Namibia-Angola relations at local and regional level, while creating opportunities for knowledge sharing and economic cooperation.

The delegation’s mission underscores the growing importance of regional partnerships in promoting local economic development and expanding opportunities for businesses beyond national borders.
