Kaisosi, Kavango East – The incident happened on Saturday night near the Channel O Bar along the Trans-Caprivi Highway when a vehicle allegedly plowed into a group of people, causing the death of two and three injured.
The deceased have been identified as Julias Sitayi, 21, who was pronounced dead at the scene, and Natali Sindere, 32, who succumbed to her injuries upon arrival at the Rundu Intermediate Hospital. The three injured individuals are currently receiving medical treatment.
Authorities report that the driver responsible fled the scene and remains at large. The police have launched an investigation and are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
