Kevin De Bruyne Confirms Departure From Manchester City

De Bruyne to leave Manchester City

In a major development that signals the end of an era at the Etihad, Kevin De Bruyne has announced that he will leave Manchester City as a free agent at the end of the season. After ten glittering years with the ‘Sky Blue’ side, the Belgian midfield maestro has confirmed that “these will be my last months as a Manchester City player.”

De Bruyne, now 33, joined City in 2015 for a reported fee of over 60 million euros from Wolfsburg. It was a move that raised eyebrows at the time, especially considering his earlier spell at Chelsea, where he struggled to make an impact. But in the north of England, De Bruyne not only found his form, he made history.

Over the past decade, he has become one of the Premier League’s greatest ever playmakers. With 16 major trophies to his name, including multiple Premier League titles, FA Cups, and League Cups, De Bruyne has been at the heart of Manchester City’s golden era. His direct contribution to 280 goals, through a mix of goals and assists, cements his legacy as a generational talent.

Perhaps most remarkably, he leaves the Premier League as the all-time leader in assists, a record that reflects both his consistency and his creativity.

As he prepares for the next chapter of his career, De Bruyne departs not just as a Manchester City legend, but as one of the finest players the English game has ever seen.
