Man dies in gas bottle explosion in Havana
A 29-year-old Namibian man, Simon Waandja, died early Saturday morning after a gas bottle reportedly exploded while he was cooking at Okakarara Street in Havana, Windhoek.
According to the police weekend crime report, the incident happened at about 03:00.
The explosion sparked a fire that completely destroyed the shack in which Waandja was staying. He died as a result of the incident.
Police investigations into the circumstances surrounding the explosion are continuing.
